A Stellant klystron is an important vacuum device which is useful in medical linear accelerators because it amplifies the radio-frequency (RF) signals required to produce high-energy particle beams. They are ideal for use in various industries like satellite, radar, wideband high-power communication, medical, high-energy physics etc. For industrial applications Stellant’s Klystrons are used to generate far higher microwave power than solid state microwave devices like Gunn diodes. They can operate over a wide frequency range from hundreds of MHz (UHF) through hundreds of GHz.
